Carl W. Peterson

Carl Peterson is a partner of the Firm and since his call to the bar in 1984, he has worked in all areas of labour law with special expertise in the construction industry and health and safety litigation. In addition to defending employers against health and safety charges, he has been quite active in developing policies and seminars for employers to prevent accidents and avoid litigation.

Carl has extensive experience helping both union and non-union employers foster positive employee relations and implement employee empowerment programs. He has drafted related policies and led numerous seminars on the topic. Carl also advises businesses on legal issues surrounding independent contractors and outsourcing.

Carl regularly shares his knowledge through legal education seminars on construction, health and safety, employment standards, and outsourcing. He has also written extensively on these and other labour law topics.
