Evan joined Filion as a partner in 2022, bringing with him years of experience from his time at a national law Firm.

Evan works with both private and public sector employers, offering proactive, practical advice on a wide range of workplace issues, including discipline and terminations, employment standards, human rights, employment contracts and policies, workplace safety and insurance, and industrial and construction labour relations. His clients span a broad spectrum: from Fortune500 companies and innovative start-ups to family-run businesses across a variety of industries. He also regularly advises public sector organizations, including hospitals, school boards, municipalities, and universities.

A trusted voice at the bargaining table, Evan frequently acts as spokesperson during collective bargaining negotiations. He also helps employers respond effectively to union organizing drives and certification applications.

Evan is a seasoned advocate with extensive litigation experience. He has appeared before every level of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. He also regularly represents employers in arbitrations and before various federal and provincial employment and labour tribunals.
