Executive Summary

Mark provides strategic advice and representation in all areas of management-side labour and employment law in both the private and public sectors.

Mark’s practice is client-focused and leverages his exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. Mark understands and considers the business implications at play when providing strategic legal advice tailored to his client’s needs. He routinely advises management on a wide range of issues, including grievance arbitrations, construction labour relations, occupational health and safety, collective bargaining, wrongful dismissals, human rights, and privacy. Mark is also a skilled advocate, regularly representing his clients before courts and tribunals in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

During his time at Western Law, Mark held leadership roles as an executive with the Labour & Employment Law Society and as a Student Orientation Leader. He also developed his passion for advocacy as an Associate Caseworker with London’s Community Legal Services. Mark participated extensively in advocacy competitions, finishing as a top finalist in a national moot competition, where he also received an award for his written advocacy. Currently, Mark serves on the Board of Directors for University Settlement, Toronto’s first community-based social service centre.
